The trail community is a beautiful network of crazy, passionate, enthusiastic and chilled runners. With SuperTrail Australia’s ambition to bring this vast community together, we have culminated some of Australia’s most spectacular trail running events, available all in the one place.
Our goal is to introduce our fellow trail runners to some of the most amazing and breath-taking trails, and off-road experiences in the country.
Meet the team
Mark “Emo” Emerton – Elite Energy Events
Since their humble beginnings in 1999, Elite Energy has become the go-to-team for delivering successful mass participation and multi-sport festivals across the country. With a portfolio that boasts over 25 events internationally.
The brain child of Mark ‘Emo’ Emerton, Elite Energy is delivering some of the biggest events in Australia, including the iconic Husky Triathlon Festival at Huskisson and the AAA Australian Alpine Ascent at Mount Kosciuszko.
Rob & Kathryn Preston – Thought Sports
Thought Sports are a family team with extensive backgrounds in adventure and endurance sports.
Rob has been competing in orienteering for almost 35 years, with national representation and competition in 22 different countries. Adventure Racing has been Rob’s main focus for the last 5 years, and he is currently ranked 2nd in the Adventure Racing World Series Rankings, with US based Team Adventure Medical Kits.
Kathryn was a junior athletics star before turning her focus to orienteering. She competed in 6 World Championships and 2 World Games with a personal best placing of 5th in 2009 Sprint Distance, and has several national titles. Kathryn has also achieved great results in Adventure Racing including XPD and Geoquest wins and Top 10 placings in the AR World Championships.
Brett Crosby – Adelaide Trail Runners
Established in 2020, Brett Crosby, the founder of Adelaide Trail Runners, took over the original Summer Trail Running Series and put his own touch on it. The Summer Series now consists of 5 races over some of the most spectacular trails around Adelaide.
In addition to the Summer Series, ATR also hosts Robe Run in February, State Teams Championship in January, Melrose Running Festival in July and now Wonderland in August held at Halls Gap in The Grampians, Victoria.
Brett himself, has competed in Ironman Triathlon, Marathon, Trail Running and Cycling events all over Australia. Brett is also an Athletics Australia Level 1 Recreational Running Coach. He loves the challenge of bringing these experiences to the trail runners of Adelaide!
